William and Kate's Royal Wedding Reception

Their wedding ceremony was no doubt straight from a fairytale, and Prince William and Kate Middleton's reception brought out all the stops.

Following their historical nuptials earlier today (April 29), the newlywed Royals enjoyed mingling with their guests at the Buckingham Palace while feasting away at menu items such as Cornish Crab Salad on Lemon Blini, Pressed Duck Terrine with Fruit Chutney and Scottish Smoked Salmon Rose on Beetroot Blini, just to name a few of the swanky dishes.

Their towering cake was an unbelievable sight as the official baker, Fiona Cairns, created an absolute masterpiece designed specifically for the Prince and his new Princess.

And as she did earlier in the day, Kate stunned her guests in a jaw-dropping dress custom designed by Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen.

Michael J. Fox Helps Make BTIG Charity Day A Success

BTIG LLC, a global financial services firm specializing in institutional trading and related brokerage services, today announced it raised more than $4 million at its 9th Commissions for Charity Day, held on April 27.

BTIG will donate the money to more than 100 children’s charities all over the country, including All Stars Helping Kids, Autism Speaks, Deafness Research Foundation, Food Allergy Initiative, Franciscan Hospital for Children, Hedge Funds Care, Jacob’s Cure, Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, Project Sunshine, Smile Train, Solving Kids Cancer, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children, The Happy Hearts Fund.

Over the past nine years BTIG’s Annual Commissions for Charity Day has raised more than $24 million from equity, fixed income and derivative trading commission profits to support various nonprofit organizations. This was the first year BTIG held Commissions for Charity Day internationally in its offices in Hong Kong, Singapore, Sydney and London.

In BTIG’s New York office, Michael J. Fox, Matt Dillon, Tori Praver, Nick Swisher, Eli Manning, Steve Schirripa, Sean Avery, John McEnroe, Joe Girardi, Justin Tuck, and Petra Nemcova, among many others, attended Charity Day in support of their chosen charitable foundations. In addition, Ronnie Lott, Joe Morgan, and Tony Gonzalez participated from BTIG’s San Francisco office, and Emmanuelle Chriqui of “Entourage,” and Marcus Allen joined in the Los Angeles office.

“Every year we are inspired by the support of Charity Day from our employees, clients, and celebrity traders, and raising over 4 million dollars makes this year no different,” said Scott Kovalik, Co-Founder of BTIG. “We couldn’t be more proud of our employees’ hard work and the humbling generosity from our clients that made today’s success possible.”

“The results speak loudly to today’s success, but the positive impact this year’s Charity Day will have in many people’s lives is hard to describe,” added Steven Starker, Co-Founder of BTIG. “We were happy to involve so many children’s charities and celebrities in this year’s event, and thank everyone for their efforts in making this day possible.”

Snoop Dogg Explains How Kanye West Collabo 'Eyez Closed' Happened

'I was in the studio with Swizz Beatz and heard some beats, and it was Kanye West,' Snoop recalls to MTV News.
By Jayson Rodriguez, with reporting by Steven Roberts

Snoop Dogg was working with Swizz Beatz in the studio when he decided to let the world know he settled on a name for his next album — Doggystyle 2: The Doggumentary — which he later shortened to just Doggumentary.

The producer proved to be good luck for the veteran rapper. During another session in New York when the pair were working together, Snoop said he heard music coming from another room and decided to investigate.

The result? "Eyez Closed," from his latest project — which dropped Tuesday (March 29) — produced by and featuring Kanye West; John Legend also appears on the track.

"I was in the studio with Swizz Beatz and walked down the hallway and heard some beats, and it was Kanye West," Snoop told MTV News. "He called me into the studio and played me a couple of songs from his album. He was like, 'I got this song that's not gonna make the album, but listen to it.' "

The rocking "Eyez Closed" lifts a sample from Jimmy Spicer's "Money (Dollar Bill Y'all)," also used by Maino for his breakout "Hi Hater." On the number, a reflective Snoop pays respect to the younger generation while reaffirming his status. "Run these MCs, I'm tougher than leather," Snoop raps.

Earlier this month, Snoop spoke with MTV News about his career, which has spawned 11 solo albums, from his Death Row days to riding with Master P and his No Limit soldiers to his latest incarnation as Wiz Khalifa's mentor.

"I don't really think of it as reinventing myself, 'cause it's all within me," Snoop explained. "It's all who I am. It's more or less faces of Snoop Dogg or characters of Snoop Dogg that's in this one spirit. But at the same time, he's able to embellish different parts of the character to create this look, that style, that sound. But it's all the same. Because when I do it all at once, when I do a concept that has all the songs, I don't have enough time to change and act like this; it's still me."

Lady Gaga To Donate $1 Million For Homeless Youth

Charity will be announced at Robin Hood Foundation benefit concert.

Do you want to help Lady Gaga give away $1 million dollars to charity? Well, little monsters, here's your chance! Mother Monster is hooking up with the Robin Hood Foundation to help homeless youth in New York, her hometown.

Fans can go to Gaga's Facebook page to weigh in on which organization — The Door, Hetrick-Martin Institute, Lawyers for Children, Safe Horizon or SCO Family of Services — will be gifted the sum ($500,000 a year over two years).

The results will be announced May 9 at a special concert benefiting Robin Hood. "I'm thrilled to be working with the Robin Hood Foundation to distribute funds to help the youth of New York City," Gaga said in a statement. "NYC is my hometown and I think investing in these kids' future will go a long way."

Days before Gaga attends the Robin Hood gala, her HBO special will air. While it is a concert special, it also serves as a love letter to the Big Apple. Shot during her time in New York for two tour stops at Madison Square Garden earlier this year, the documentary shows the singer opening up about her love for the city and how it helped shape her as an artist.

"There was never a question in my mind that I was gonna make it and that this is my destiny and that we were all gonna make it as the kids of this city, as the New York generation," she says, driving through the streets of New York to MSG. "My faith in my creativity and my artistry has nothing to do with making it," she continued. "We kind of had already made it when we were playing for nothing downtown. ... We still felt like we were superstars."

Which organization do you hope Gaga's money goes to? Sound off below!

Adam Lambert Predicts Jennifer Lopez And Steven Tyler's 'Idol' Style

'American Idol' alum says the superstars will bring amazing fashion to the new season.
By Mawuse Ziegbe, with reporting by Damian Vaca

As the newly shaken-up "American Idol" debuts on Wednesday (January 19), fans are ready to weigh in on how spankin'-new judges Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler will fare — and how they'll look.

MTV News recently caught up with "Idol" alum Adam Lambert at the season-three premiere of "RuPaul's Drag Race" in Los Angeles, and he mused that when it comes to fashion, both Lopez and Tyler will bring their A-list style game.

"I'm sure they're gonna be top-of-the-notch. Steven Tyler, I mean, he's a legend. And J.Lo has always been beautiful. I remember when I was a kid graduating high school and 'Waiting for Tonight' came out. Remember that video? And she had all the rhinestones on her face and she just looked like just dewy and stunning and amazing," Lambert said. "I'm really looking forward to [seeing their fashion] too."

While MTV News' "Idol" expert Jim Cantiello is set to host the live stream "Judging the Judges: An 'Idol' Without Simon" right after "Idol" airs, at 10 p.m. ET Wednesday on MTV.com, Lambert shied away from comparing the two music pros' judging style. He maintained that the duo aren't likely to duke it out for top-judge honors. The season-eight runner-up said Lopez and Tyler are approaching the competition from different vantage points, and pitting their judging styles against each other is probably a futile "Idol" fan exercise.

"They're birds of a different feather, but they're gonna flock together," he said.

Even though Lambert has more "Idol" experience than the newbie judges, he didn't have any advice to offer Lopez or Tyler as they take their seats on live television for the first time. In fact, he insisted he'd welcome pointers from the superstar critics anytime.

"I want advice from them," Lambert smiled. "I will not give Steven Tyler or J. Lo any advice. That's not my place."

Are you looking forward to the "American Idol" premiere? Let us know in the comments!

Don't miss our "American Idol" live stream "Judging the Judges: An 'Idol' Without Simon," featuring post-show analysis from Jim Cantiello and special guests, on MTV.com tonight at 10 p.m. ET. Tweet your "Idol" commentary with the hashtag #idolwithoutsimon and we could quote you on the show!

Katy Perry's 'E.T.' Video Look Inspired By Jellyfish

'I just wanted [Katy] to look really odd ... but still fashionable," Carol Beadle tells MTV News.
By Jocelyn Vena

Katy Perry leaves Candyfornia for outer space in her latest video, "E.T." The otherworldly clip follows an alien woman played by the Teenage Dream singer as she falls to a planet to find her lost extraterrestrial lover. While fans are used to seeing Perry in dresses made from cupcakes and cotton candy, this time around she sports flowing gowns, metal body armor and lots of intricate makeup.

Carol Beadle, who worked with director Floria Sigismondi on the style for the video, explained to MTV News that she wanted to take things to a more "avant-garde" level in the clip. "I just wanted [Katy] to look really odd, unreal if we could, but still fashionable," she said.

"I was looking at jellyfishes and amoebas; those words were constantly used and we wanted it to look like a flash of an amoeba and then it coming to life," Beadle explained about the video's fashion inspiration. "It's like falling to the sky and the amoeba brought in the color palette and I wanted to hit it with a bit of color, so that it would pop. But to make it look 2011, it has to have a context and a reference point."

While Beadle kept Perry in mind when thinking up looks for the video, she also wanted to make sure that the fashions would fit the clip's themes and story. "I tried to see her body type and her personality and how she's perceived but, really, the main focus was on the director and I and making the story work and making her the lead," she said.

"I designed her first outfit and last outfit," Beadle continued, adding about the flowing red dress Perry is first seen wearing, as she falls from space to the planet where her lover waits for her, "We wanted her to look like she was on fire and falling from the sky."

Soon the red dress becomes this "one massive white piece" by Viktor & Rolf, which, Beadle said, was "one of the most interesting pieces from the runway."

Perry's next look is a flowing gown combined with metal pieces. "I built all the metal," Beadle revealed. "All the skirts and stuff were designed and built by me."

While Perry went spacey glam in the video, her "E.T." collaborator Kanye West kept his look decidedly Yeezy. "I went and talked to him and went through his things and his stylist had gone shopping," Beadle said. "I've worked with him before [on 'Love Lockdown']. I did one of his other videos. He's got very good style. I always find him very lovely. He's got good taste, a good eye."

Lady Gaga Says Fame Was Her 'Destiny' In New HBO Promo

'There was never a question in my mind that I was gonna make it,' singer says.
By Jocelyn Vena

Lady Gaga
Photo: Kevin Mazur/ WireImage

In a new promo for her May 7 HBO special, Lady Gaga recalls her rise to fame. Sitting in a car, her pals by her side, the Mother Monster explains that she always knew she was going to make it and that she woke up one day "and the delusion was real."

"There was never a question in my mind that I was gonna make it and that this is my destiny and that we were all gonna make it as the kids of this city, as the New York generation," she says, driving through the streets of New York to Madison Square Garden where she taped the concert portion of the special.

"My faith in my creativity and my artistry has nothing to do with making it," she continued. "We kind of had already made it when we were playing for nothing downtown. ... We still felt like we were superstars."

She goes on to credit God for her success, as shots of her in the car are edited with ones of her in a deli getting coffee, walking down the street in a skimpy leotard and leather jacket, and greeting fans from her SUV. Later on, in the middle of a prayer, she says, "They used to always tell me, 'You will never be a star because you're too ethnic, you're too Italian, you're too out there.' It doesn't matter who you are, or where you come from or how much money you've got in your pocket. You have your own destiny and your own life ahead of you."

This is the latest tease for the special. On Monday, in a promo, Gaga cried about her lingering feelings of inadequacy. "I start to think about all the people that have tried to stop me, and I get this super-intense fury. ... I just sometimes feel like a loser still," she says. "It's crazy 'cause we're at the Garden, but I still sometimes feel like a loser kid in high school. And I just got to pick myself up and I have to tell myself I'm a superstar every morning so that I can get through this day and be for my fans what they need for me to be. But sometimes I still feel like people are trying to destroy me."

Previous teases have shown Gaga hitting the streets of New York, dressed in a studded leather jacket and high platform ankle boots, as "Born This Way" plays in the background. That same promo showed the madness at MSG leading up to her show, footage of which is also in the clip. In the second, shorter preview, shots of her performance are revealed as her new single, "Judas," plays.

Lady Gaga Debuts 'Glee' Clip From 'Born This Way' Episode

Singer took to Facebook to share 50-second teaser that shows Mr. Schuester giving New Directions Gaga assignment.
By James Dinh

"Glee" is ready to go Gaga all over again. But this time, the New Directions gang will not only pay tribute to the pop star, they'll also embrace themselves in an episode devoted to self-acceptance.

Lady Gaga took to her Facebook on Friday (April 22) and premiered a clip from the highly anticipated episode, which airs Tuesday. In the preview, Mr. Schuester tells the club they'll be performing songs of self-love, including a group number of the singer's hit "Born This Way."

Finn Hudson (Cory Monteith) kicks off the 50-second teaser by asking Mr. Schuester (Matthew Morrison) why Ms. Pillsbury (Jayma Mays) is attending their glee club meeting. Schuester tells the students that the guidance counselor will be helping out with the weekly assignment.

"Now, this is the only club at school that is represented by just about every race, religion, sexual orientation and clique, but many of are you are still having a hard time with acceptance," he says.

Despite rebuttals from the students, the club director explains that while they may embrace one another, they still don't accept themselves — for all of their good and bad qualities. Mr. Schuester then reveals the two-part assignment: singing tunes of self-acceptance that highlight their best and worst aspects, as well as performing "Born This Way."

"We're going to do a group number by the queen of self-love, Gaga. We're going to perform her anthem to acceptance, 'Born This Way,' " he tells the students, who break into cheers and applause.

Back in January, "Glee" creator Ryan Murphy opened up about why he chose to feature the hit song in the episode, which has been super-sized to 90 minutes. "I love that that song is [an] anthem," Murphy told Entertainment Weekly. "This show is by nature optimistic, and I think a character like Karofsky could turn to booze or pills or alcohol and kill themselves or do something dark. But I also love Max [Adler, the actor] and I love that character and I sorta want that character to have a happy ending. So I don't really know what that's going to be, but I do know we're going to do a whole episode that's about that song."

Felder will perform a special “Evening at the Hotel California” show at the Peace Center Amphitheatre in downtown Greenville on May 19, followed by a concert with other tournament players on May 20. The tournament tees off on May 21.

The funds raised during the 2011 BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX Corporation will benefit 26 non-profit organizations located throughout Upstate SC and Western NC.

Each organization will have the opportunity to earn funds through tournament-sponsored programs including ticket sales, one-day pro-am foursome sales and by working volunteer hours. Contact your favorite charity on the list to find out how you can assist with their fundraising efforts.

The 2011 charitable beneficiaries include 100 Black Men of the Upstate, A Child’s Haven, Alzheimer's Association – SC Chapter, Blue Ridge Council Boy Scouts of America, Cancer Association of Spartanburg and Cherokee Counties, Charles Lea Center Foundation, Child Evangelism Fellowship, Citizen Scholars of Spartanburg County, Compass of Carolina, Dogs for Autism, First Tee of Greenville, Foothills Equestrian Nature Center, Greer Middle College Charter High School, Harvest Hope Food Bank, Hickory Nut Gorge Olympiad, Hidden Treasure Christian School, Hispanic-American Women’s Association, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Meals On Wheels of Greenville County, Mobile Meals of Spartanburg, National Christian College Athletic Association, Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Carolinas, Scottish Rite Foundation of SC, St. Joseph’s Catholic School, The Walker Foundation supporting the SC School for the Deaf and Blind and YMCA Camp Greenville.

Over the last 10 years, the annual tournament has raised over $8 million for 150 different charities. The BMW Charity Pro-Am is the only tournament on the PGA TOUR’s Nationwide Tour where amateurs and celebrities are grouped with nationwide tour professionals in a four-day better-ball competition over three courses. Amateurs, celebrities and pros rotate between three courses on three days, with the 14 lowest scoring pro-amateur/pro-celebrity teams advancing to play the final round at Thornblade Club. Celebrities play once at each course. The professional winner of the overall 72-hole event will take home $108,000 from the total purse of $600,000. Amateurs and celebrities will compete for individual prizes and cash donations to the charity of their choice out of the beneficiaries selected by South Carolina Charities Inc.

Dancing With the Strippers: Kendra Wilkinson Does a Striptease For Len!

Kendra Wilkinson was finally in her element last night.

With the right routine and encouragement from partner Louis Van Amstel, K-Dubs finally released her inner beast on Dancing With the Stars, letting loose with a sexy Brazilian party samba that was as uninhibited as her outfit was revealing.

For once, her stripper background came in handy:

Kendra Wilkinson Shakes It on Dancing With the Stars

"The more you gyrated, the more I palpitated," said Len Goodman, who just received the birthday present of his life in the form of a Kendra Wilkinson striptease.

The job has its perks. Tom Bergeron could only add, "Nicely done." It was, but will it be enough to get her through to the next round? What do you think?
