Gary Barlow Joins Rap Stars For Celebrity Charity Song

Take That's Gary Barlow will release an all-star charity single for the BBC’s Children in Need this November.

The single, a reworking of Massive Attack's 1998 cult hit ‘Teardrop’, is being produced by Labrinth, who collaborated with Tinie Tempah on his massive UK hits ‘Pass Out’ and ‘Frisky’.

Joining Gary on the single will be an amazing line-up including: Ed Sheeran, Rizzle Kicks, Dappy, Fazer, Tulisa, Miss Dynamite, Wretch 32, Tinchy Stryder, Mz Bratt, Dot Rotten and fellow X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos.

Speaking to the Sun newspaper, Gary said: “I think this is a brilliant project. BBC Children in Need has a history of doing upbeat singles with comedians but it’s a serious charity doing a lot of hard work for serious causes.”

Since 1997 BBC Children in Need has achieved six No.1 singles and six more in the Top Ten; recorded by artists including JLS, The Spice Girls, Peter Kay, Lou Reed, S Club 7 and Will Young.

The single will be released on Sunday 13 November 2011, with all profits will go to BBC Children in Need. Follow its progress on Twitter using #CiNteardrop or find the Pudsey Bear page on Facebook.
